The SuperPops Series has something for everyone! It begins in October with the witty, urbane, lovable songs of COLE PORTER IN CONCERT and warms up December with the ever-popular HOMETOWN HOLIDAY. The new year pays tribute to the First Lady of Song in ELLA FITZGERALD FOREVER, featuring past Count Basie vocalist Carmen Bradford. In March, SuperPops celebrates the timeless MUSIC OF JOHN WILLIAMS and soars into April with the ballet that thrills the child in us all: PETER PAN. This exciting series closes with SPIES, LIES AND TREBLE CLEFS: THE MUSIC OF JAMES BOND.

The Dayton Philharmonic is honored to welcome guest vocalist Carmen Bradford to center stage at the Schuster to honor this music legend. Carmen Bradford is jazz royalty. Her grandfather Melvin Moore sang with Dizzy Gillespie's Big Band and with the Ink Spots, and her parents are legendary coronetist and composer Bobby Bradford and world-renowned jazz vocalist, composer, and author Melba Joyce. Carmen Bradford and the Dayton Philharmonic bring a showstopping performance to the Schuster as together they honor the Queen of Jazz herself, Ella Fitzgerald.
Often called “America’s composer,” John Williams has been creating movie music since 1959. The Dayton Philharmonic transports us once again into our favorite movie scores as we enjoy an encore evening of THE MUSIC OF JOHN WILLIAMS.
The Dayton Philharmonic presents some of the greatest songs from spy movies, television and stage performances, including hits from the James Bond series, Alfred Hitchcock, The Pink Panther, and more. It’s an evening of undercover madness that will have you leaving the Schuster with that confident raise of an eyebrow, delivering the 007 line we all know best: “It’s Bond, James Bond.”
