Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s 53rd Season!
Evolution comes in many forms. Sometimes we notice it after we look back at a long series of events. Other times, we see the little things that have come into and out of our lives and realize we’ve been making tiny adjustments along the way. And then, there are those times that something so incredible happens that nothing will ever be the same. You’re moved to shift everything around you and create something new, something that defines the new world you’re living in and the world you want it to be. This season is the shift to black joy, embodied global culture, inspiration towards real change, spiritual awakenings for the soul, and communal metamorphosis, all at once and through the humanity of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. Evolve(d) rides the edge of the shift of change to inspire evolution. It’s like the rush of simultaneously standing on the precipice of something marvelous and being in the very midst of something incredible at the same time. It’s art for us all.
