The Dayton Live Emerging Artists Series Sponsored By PNC Foundation elevates productions from talented and under-resourced performing artists with ties to the Dayton community by providing financial support to bring Dayton’s diverse arts experiences to life.
APPLICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE ARE BEING ACCEPTED NOW!
Up to four artists/groups will be selected to participate in the inaugural series during the 2025-2026 Season through this application and interview process. Selected artists/groups will work with Dayton Live to schedule their project in the PNC Arts Annex. Then the real work begins!
Each selected artist/group will:
- Receive an initial $5,000 to work with to create, design, produce, and market their show. Artists/groups may use the funding at their discretion, allocating resources toward artist fees, costumes, props, designs, supplies, rehearsal space, etc.
- Plan their budget and identify their needs in collaboration with Dayton Live staff as part of a traditional preproduction process.
- Have access to Dayton Live’s Chief Creative Officer to help develop their show, and plan for the next phase of their production.
- Have access to Dayton Live’s marketing team to promote their show utilizing digital, social media, TV, and targeted ads, but can also choose to hire their own marketing support team.
- Have access to Dayton Live’s technicians and production teams to identify the production and backstage support that will be required.
- Have access to rent rehearsal space from Dayton Live at the reduced Community Spotlight Program rates.
One project with one or multiple performances will be planned each quarter as part of Dayton Live’s Emerging Artists Series featuring the region’s emerging artists. Ticket revenue for the production will go to the artist/group performing.
