REFLECTIONS opens the 57th season and features two bright dance works that signify what it means to be uniquely and proudly African American. In February, DCDC shines a light on legacy with BLACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, dancing the soul-stirring, fan-favorite works that the Dayton community has made iconic. DANCING IN OUR LIGHT culminates spectacularly as Dayton Contemporary Dance Company and the Dayton Ballet unite for RHYTHM OF THE CITY. This dynamic partnering of Dayton’s best dancers, in brand-new, built-to-order choreography, will be powered by the game-changing Dayton Funk sound that put the Gem City on the musical map.
