Description
Join Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Bob Poole for a breathtaking journey into the world of elephants. Raised in Kenya, Bob has spent a lifetime filming and following these intelligent giants, across Africa and Asia. With stunning footage from his latest projects – including research on elephant communication – Bob shares incredible stories from the field. Having spent the good part of a decade working with aggressive elephants traumatized by war, Bob has experienced it all, from having his vehicle crushed to embedding with rangers. Because Bob has frequently worked alongside his sister, Dr. Joyce Poole, the world’s leading expert on elephant communication, he understands elephant behavior through their gestures and vocalizations. Bob has witnessed the full spectrum of elephant life, filming births, matings, and battles. After decades of experience working with National Geographic, BBC, and PBS, Bob brings audiences face-to-face with the world’s most extraordinary land animals.
