Camp Counselors

Dayton Live Creative Academy is seeking enthusiastic college students for camp counselor positions!

Dayton Live Creative Academy Summer Camps are 1-week to 2-week long performing arts camps for students of a variety of ages. Each week is focused on different elements of theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to learn songs, dances, scenes, clowning, comedy, and even get to throw pies in each other’s faces! There’s no limit to what this summer could bring, and we want you to be a part of that journey!

Being a Summer Camp Counselor means:

• Being available Monday-Friday from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. for the summer camps you’re assigned to:

  • June 10-14, 2024 Summer Camp: MAMMA MIA! Full-Day Camp
  • June 17-21, 2024 Summer Camp: Rising Stars Half-Day Camp
  • June 17-21, 2024 Summer Camp: Put On A Show! June Session Half-Day Camp
  • June 17-21, 2024 Summer Camp: Mini Imaginators! June Session Half-Day Camp
  • June 17-21, 2024 Summer Camp: Imaginators! June Session Half-Day Camp
  • June 24-28, 2024 Summer Camp: Comedy Camp Full-Day Camp
  • June 24-28, 2024 Summer Camp: Find You Groove! Full-Day Camp
  • July 8-July 12, 2024 Summer Camp: Broadway Preview Full-Day Camp
  • July 8-July 20, 2024 Production Summer Camp: The Neverending Story Full-Day Camp
  • July 22-July 26, 2024 Summer Camp: Mini Imaginators! July Session Half-Day Camp
  • July 22-26, 2024 Summer Camp: Imaginators! July Session Half-Day Camp
  • July 22-26, 2024 Summer Camp: Imaginators Jedi Academy Half-Day Camp

  • July 22-August 3, 2024 Production Summer Camp: Footloose Youth Edition Full-Day Camp
• Assisting the professional teaching artists during classes, rehearsals and other activities;
• Guiding groups of participants around the various venues and facilities;
• Being a positive role model and supporter for the attending camp participants;
• Depending on experience and interest, the opportunity to perform, choreograph, direct and coach during the camp;
• Assisting Dayton Live’s Education & Engagement Department with administrative duties related to the camp as needed, such as making copies, helping with check in, etc.; and
• Being paid for your time and your hard work! $250/week + parking for a full-day camp commitment.

Counselors for The Neverending Story and Footloose will be run crew for this production and may also have the opportunity to: stage manage, asst. choreograph, and assistant direct.
