Camp Counselors
Dayton Live Creative Academy is seeking enthusiastic college students for camp counselor positions!
Dayton Live Creative Academy Summer Camps are 1-week to 2-week long performing arts camps for students of a variety of ages. Each week is focused on different elements of theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to learn songs, dances, scenes, clowning, comedy, and even get to throw pies in each other’s faces! There’s no limit to what this summer could bring, and we want you to be a part of that journey!
Being a Summer Camp Counselor means:
- Being available Monday-Friday from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m.:
- June 20-23 Mini Imaginators Half-Day Camp/Imaginators Half-Day Camp
- June 26-30 Pie In The Face Comedy Camp
- July 3-7 Put On A Show Camp/Untold Stories Camp
- July 10-14 TBD The Musical Camp
- July 17-21 Broadway Preview Summer Camp
- July 17-28 Production Summer Camp
- July 24-August 5 Finding Nemo Jr. Production Summer Camp*
- Assisting the professional teaching artists during classes, rehearsals and other activities;
- Guiding groups of participants around the various venues and facilities;
- Being a positive role model and supporter for the attending camp participants;
- Depending on experience and interest, the opportunity to perform, choreograph, direct and coach during the camp;
- Assisting Dayton Live’s Education & Engagement Department with administrative duties related to the camp as needed, such as making copies, helping with check in, etc.; and
- Being paid for your time and your hard work! $250/week + parking + lunch for a full day camp commitment.
*Counselors for this 2-week camp will be run crew for this production and may also have the opportunity to: stage manage, asst. choreograph, and assistant direct.
