Description

THE LIGHT IN BETWEEN emerges in a world of continual rupture. Not as escape, and not as resolve, but as the brief and necessary moments that allow us to remain.

In their 8th Season, Dayton Dance Initiative invites artists and audiences into works shaped by partial illumination — moments that flicker, hold, and pass between us. Through shared attention, embodied inquiry, and collaborative process, these new choreographic works ask how we stay in relation — how we notice, together, the spaces between impact and breath.

This season also opens a new threshold for Dayton Dance Initiative: their first-ever choreographic commission, extending beyond Dayton to support the work of David Morse. Rooted in trust, time, and exchange, this commission reflects our belief that connection — like light — travels, arrives, and reshapes the space it enters.

Age Recommendation

Dayton Live encourages you to research titles and decide what is appropriate for you and your party before tickets are purchased. All audience members must have a ticket, regardless of age. For the consideration of all patrons, children on laps and/or babes in arms are not permitted at most presentations.
