Discovery Payment & Performance Policies

The Dayton Live Discovery Series presents weekday field trips for area schools to experience carefully selected shows designed to enhance curriculum connections throughout various subject areas. Click here if you would like to explore our Children’s Theatre programming.

PAYMENT POLICIES

• After you submit your online Ticket Request Form, you will receive an automated email from info@daytonlive.org that your request has been received by Dayton Live. Please let us know if you DO NOT RECEIVE this email within 24 hours and be sure to check your spam folder. This automated email is NOT confirmation that your tickets have been reserved!
• Dayton Live recommends you pay for your performance(s) immediately upon receiving your Discovery Series invoice from discovery@daytonlive.org. If you do not submit payment immediately upon receiving your Discovery Series invoice, your payment must be paid in full FIVE weeks prior to the performance date.
• All cancellations must be made no later than FOUR weeks prior to the performance date. Please email discovery@daytonlive.org.
• All changes to ticket counts, lunch space requests, and accessibility needs must be made no later FOUR weeks prior to the performance date.
• Dayton Live reserves the right to cancel any ticket request if payment is not received five weeks prior to the performance. If you arrive to your selected show after your tickets are released, ticket sales are at the discretion of the Dayton Live Box Office Staff and seating availability once the performance begins.
• Dayton Live reserves the right to require a non-refundable deposit for ticket orders from schools/homeschools that are booking multiple performances OR have an outstanding balance from a previous season.

WAYS TO PAY

Payments can be made in the form of ONE check (school or personal), MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. The Dayton Live Box Office can accept full payments for invoices. For any order changes with payment, please call the Education staff at 937-637-8267.

• BY PHONE: Call the Dayton Live Box Office at 937-228-3630 if you are paying your full invoice. If there are any changes that must be made to your order when paying, please call 937-637-8267.
• BY MAIL: Fill out the credit card authorization form at the bottom of your invoice to MAIL to us. Dayton Live will NOT accept any payments made via email.
• BY CHECK: Mail a check made payable to Dayton Live to:

PURCHASE ORDERS (POS) ARE NOT CONSIDERED PAYMENT – YOUR DISCOVERY ORDER WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED UNTIL A CHECK IS RECEIVED. Due to the varying process times for individual schools and districts, we request your PO be sent to us within 72 hours of Ticket Request Confirmation.

All payments are due NO later than FIVE weeks prior to a selected show date in order to fully reserve your seats. Please review your invoice(s) to confirm the date and time of your selected shows and the number of tickets you requested.

ORDER ADJUSTMENTS

ORDER ADJUSTMENTS may be made until FOUR weeks prior to the performance date. Within the FOUR-week window before a performance, ONLY additional seats may be added to your order if space permits. No credits or refunds will be issued for unused seats.

CHAPERONES

For every 10 student seats purchased for an individual performance of a Discovery Series show, ONE adult chaperone may attend free of charge. Additional seats for schools and home schools may be purchased at the student rate of $5 to accommodate chaperone requirements. Scholarship prices do not apply to adult chaperone tickets.

ACCESSIBILITY ACCOMMODATIONS

Please communicate any accessibility needs prior to attending any Discovery Series performance. Indicate any accommodation your group requires, including the number of wheelchairs, service animals, or mobility access needs, on the Ticket Request Form. Sign interpretation requests must be made THREE weeks prior to the selected performance. Sign interpretation and audio descriptions are only available at the 11:30 a.m. performance of each show, when requested THREE or more weeks in advance. LATE RESERVATIONS

LATE RESERVATIONS will be accepted by Dayton Live via online ticket request up to 48 hours before a select performance. If you are looking to see a show close to the performance date, give us a call! Fulfilling late ticket requests will be based on availability. Please call 937-637-8267.

ARRIVAL

Plan your arrival at least 30 minutes before the scheduled performance time. Additional information will be sent to you one week in advance of the show, describing parking and dismissal procedures. Be sure to check your spam folder! Please add info@daytonlive.org and discovery@daytonlive.org to your contacts.

SEATING

Dayton Live staff utilize a seating chart to accommodate many groups of varying sizes which are based on the final totals on your paid invoice and include any accessibility needs. Additional attendees may not be accommodated as tickets are sold on a seat-by-seat basis. Please do not bring additional students or chaperones the day of the performance without speaking to a Dayton Live Education staff member prior to the date of the show.

BEHAVIOR

Dayton Live reserves the right to address inappropriate student behaviors. Please help your students remember BRAVO: Be on time, Respect the space and staff, Ask for help if needed, Voices and devices off, and standing Ovation at the end of the show!

INCLEMENT WEATHER AND EMERGENCIES

If your school is closed or delayed due to inclement weather on the day of a scheduled performance, PLEASE NOTIFY US BEFORE SHOW TIME THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ATTENDING. You will have the opportunity to attend another performance, (pending availability), or to receive a full refund. A decision must be made within 30 days of the affected performance to be honored. In the event of a closing or other emergency the day of your scheduled performance, call 937-637-8267 before the day of the performance or the Box Office at 937-228-3630 on the day of the performance.
