The performance scheduled for October 10, 2022 has been canceled.

It’s with great sadness that we share the news of Kevin Locke’s passing. Tokeya Inajin is Kevin’s Lakota name, meaning “The First to Arise.” Kevin was Lakota and Anishnabe and was a world-famous visionary Hoop Dancer, preeminent player of the Indigenous Northern Plains flute, traditional storyteller, recording artist, and educator.

Kevin was a cultural ambassador and dedicated his life to educating students all over the world. To celebrate his life, we encourage you to download the Discovery Series performance’s resource guide to learn more about Kevin and his artistry.
