Description
Welcome to the second annual :FIERCE FEST in Dayton! We are back this year with eight entertainers and live acts spanning across a 6-hour production. Headliners Big Gorgeous (perv pop from San Francisco) and Krissy Booth (THE Pop Princess of Detroit) will close out the evening following six live acts from across the Midwest.
HEADLINERS
Big Gorgeous is an energetic and over-the-top theatrical perv-pop band from the dark coal regions of Pennsylvania who now hail from San Francisco. They combine infectious synth dance grooves with catchy, straightforward punk power chords, trumpet accents, addictive choruses and colorful costumes changes. Though the lyrics may seem crude and, dare I say, vulgar at times, you won’t be able to stop singing along… ever. In 2018, they toured the Midwest and East Coast in the U.S. and also played Iceland Airwaves. They also had repeat tour runs of the Midwest and East Coast in both the spring and fall of 2019 in addition to opening for !!! (CHK CHK CHK) in August 2019. They were in the middle of their Perv Pop Tour in mid-March 2020 to promote their first full length album – Perv Pop – which was released February 14, 2020 when the rest of their dates were canceled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Undeterred and ready to rock as soon as public safety allowed, they once again hit the road and embarked on their Re-Masked Tour starting in early August 2021. Their single “Too Much Love” was released in March 2022, which was followed by the Sensually Transmitted Disease Tour that same month. They have since embarked on two more tours (The Yellow Snowcone Tour and The Big Nasty Tour) in addition to releasing their next single “Psychic Surgery” accompanied by a music video on YouTube. They will soon embark on The Big Nasty Number 2 Tour with tour besties The Cult of Nasty in addition to releasing more music and music videos throughout the year in 2023.
Krissy Booth is a pop princess based in Detroit. Her music is melancholy, cinematic pop full of desire and love. She released her first album, Vivid, in 2017. The entirely self-produced experimental art pop album is centered around heartbreak. With her following single, “Lose Sleep With You,” she fully transitioned into the brighter side of pop. Her vocals paired with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ drummer John Espy’s pop production take her to a new era. Booth followed this release with “Selfish” and the dual release of “Fntsygrl” and “Obsessed.” Her collaboration with Qualms, “All The Way,” led to her newest single, “Baby Please.”
