Description
DANCING THROUGH THE GOLDIES merges dance and golden age musicals like The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, and more for senior men and women, ages 55 and up. Participants will learn iconic choreography, infusing it with personal style. No previous dance experience is needed and modifications can be made for students with limited mobility. Led by theatre professionals, this class cultivates connections, rekindles nostalgia, and empowers seniors’ creative voices. DANCING THROUGH THE GOLDIES is more than dance – it’s an opportunity to foster a vibrant community of artistic seniors.
Dayton Live Creative Academy is proud to offer a new program called . Senior StAGEs – for seniors (ages 55 and up) – empowers adults through theatre by offering acting, storytelling, and musical experiences throughout the year. Focused on inclusivity and community, it celebrates each person’s creativity, and challenges norms about aging.
