With The Dayton Funk All-Stars and special guests!

The Dayton Philharmonic travels back in time to Dayton during the ’70s and ’80s when our city emerged as the “World Capital of Funk.” The R&B charts of these two decades topped out with more hits from Dayton artists than from almost any other American city. Celebrate this era of Dayton with us as symphony fuses with jazz, blues, and rock, as we team up with The Funk Center and the University of Dayton’s Funk Symposium to celebrate the history, legacy, and future of Dayton’s unique brand of American popular music. Join us live in the Schuster Center or live-stream the performance from the comfort of home as we celebrate the era of Funk in the Gem City.
