Beyond The Years: Paul Laurence Dunbar’s World

Description

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates 150 years since the birth of Paul Laurence Dunbar, acclaimed African American poet born in Dayton, OH. The concert follows a timeline of Dunbar’s life and uses music, student narrators, and poetry recitation to tell his story. This performance features Professor Herbert Martin, University of Dayton Professor Emeritus, reciting selected works.

The Arts Garage, on the northwest corner of Second and Ludlow Streets, open for all performances at the Schuster Center, Victoria Theatre, and PNC Arts Annex. The Arts Garage is owned and operated by Dayton Live, so parking there actually helps support the arts venues used by all our great arts organizations.
